National Wildlife Refuge Week

Families are invited to participate in quest around the Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge to explore this vital habitat for plants and animals.  The Sandhill Cranes will be abundant at the refuge at this time.

You will explore the habitat on the Monte Vista Refuge Tour Loop, six and half miles south of Monte Vista on Highway 15.   As you go along, stop at the numbered signs, and look for wildlife activity.  Get out of your car to make observations and fill out the activity sheet for each station.
